I retired from the teaching profession after north of three decades of expertise in the field. And over the course of my career, I've gained a great deal of expertise that I am willing to use to help students who require help in their class work.I have experience teaching reading to students from prekindergarten all the way up to college prep. I've also had the chance to help students get ready for the majority of exams for New York State. Since I've had such a wide range of experiences with students of all ages and skill levels, I'm equipped with the ability to provide tutoring services that are adapted to help students of different learning styles. I take the job of teaching seriously and will always endeavor to help students to do well and to boost their self-esteem as they learn.Certifications that I've obtained include permanent New York State certification in special education K-12, social studies for grades seven to 12, and numerous New York City licenses for numerous subjects.As well, I happen to be a writer who has been published, and I've received a nomination for a Hamptons magazine award.In terms of hobbies, I enjoy reading, sports, and gardening.
